AN ACT DECLARING AUGUST NINETEEN OF EACH YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PHILIPPINES AND A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF QUEZON AND AURORA AND QUEZON CITY, TO COMMEMORATE THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF FORMER PRESIDENT MANUEL L. QUEZON

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. In order to commemorate the birth anniversary of former President Manuel L. Quezon, August Nineteen of each year is hereby declared as a special working holiday throughout the entire Philippines with the exception of the Provinces of Quezon and Aurora and Quezon City where it shall be a non-working holiday.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.

Regular Holiday Throughout The Country on August 12, 2019 in observance of Eid'l Adha (Proclamation No. 789, S. 2019)

Proclamation No. 789 declaring Monday, 12 August 2019, a regular holiday throughout the Country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.

Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid'l Adha shall be observed as a regular holiday.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 12 August 2019, Monday, be declared a national holiday, in observance of Eid'l Adha.

AN ACT DECLARING AUGUST 2 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BUTUAN, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE, IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS CHARTER DAY ANNIVERSARY, TO BE KNOWN AS “ADLAW HONG BUTUAN”

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. August 2 of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the City of Butuan, Province of Agusan del Norte, in commemoration of its charter day anniversary, to be known as "Adlaw Hong Butuan". When the holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the special nonworking day shall be observed on the Monday that follows.

Sec 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
