Special (Non-Working) Day in Santiago City on May 06, 2019 (Proclamation No. 712, S. 2019)
Proclamation No. 712 declaring Monday, 06 May 2019, as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the City of Santiago, will mark the celebration of its Founding Anniversary.
To enable the people of the City of Santiago to celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that Monday, 06 May 2019, be declared a special (non-working) day in lieu of 05 May 2019, which falls on a Sunday.

Ordinance No. 9THCC-001 declaring July 25, 2016 and every year thereafter as an Official Holiday in the City of Santiago in celebration of its Patronal Fiesta and Aggaw Na Naturales, and for other purposes.
Saint James the Apostle, the patron saint of the locality of Santiago City.
The Feast of Saint James also marks the traditional observance of the gathering of the first inhabitants and first settler of Santiago City, the Ibanags, and the Gaddangs who host the Novena Na Naturales, the staging of the Comedia or Moro-moro and Gozos on the feast day of St. James.
The Federation of Naturales na Santiago City Organization, Inc. has lobbied for the declaration of July 25, 2016 and every year thereafter as Aggaw na Naturales in the City of Santiago.
To preserve and promote the rich cultural Heritage of Santiagueños and in consideration of the said request, there is a need to measure declaring July 25 of every year as an official holiday in Santiago City.

Presidential Proclamation 108 issued by President Joseph Ejercito Estrada on 10 May 1999 declared May 11th of every year a "Special Day" in the province of Isabela to give the people full opportunity to celebrate the milestone in their history.
