Muslim Legal Holiday in some parts of Mindanao on September 27, 2023 (Presidential Decree No. 1083)

Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1083 otherwise known as the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines, "Maulidin Nabi" is a recognized Muslim Legal Holiday. It falls on September 27, 2023 (Wednesday) which corresponds to 12-Rabbi-ul Awwal-1445


The Muslim holiday shall be officially observed in the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-tawi, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur and in the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian and Zamboanga.



Regular Holiday Throughout The Country on June 28, 2023 in observance of Eid'l Adha (Proclamation No. 985, S. 2023)

 Proclamation No. 985 declaring Wednesday, 28 June 2023, a regular holiday throughout the Country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).


Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.

Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid'l Adha shall be observed as a regular holiday.





Special (Non-Working) Day in the City of Manila on June 24, 2023 (Proclamation No. 261, S. 2023)

 Proclamation No. 261 declaring Saturday, 24 June 2023, as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the City of Manila, marks the celebration of its 452nd Foundation Anniversary.
