Proclamation No. 556 declaring Tuesday, 21 August 2018, a regular holiday throughout the Country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.
Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid'l Adha shall be observed as a regular holiday.
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 21 August 2018 be declared a national holiday, in observance of Eid'l Adha.
Previously, Proclamation No. 269, August 21, 2018 was declared special (non-working) day as Ninoy Aquino Day.
