Proclamation No. 702 declaring Tuesday, 23 April 2019, as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Province of Bulacan marks the celebration of the "Battle of Quingua".
The Battle of Quingua was fought on 23 April 1899 in Plaridel, Bulacan, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, and was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the Philippine-American war.
