Proclamation No. 2018-001 declaring Friday, 14 September 2018, as a Special Non-Working Day in the City of Naga pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 654, Series of 2013.
WHEREAS, Presidential Proclamation No. 654 s. 2013 issued on 25 September 2013 declared every Friday immediately preceding the Feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia as a special day in the City of Naga.
WHEREAS, based on the Archdiocese of Caceres' Fiesta Calendar, this year's celebration of the Feast Day of the Our Lady of Peñafrancia will fall on 16 September 2018.
Moreover, Mayor Bongat also issued a memorandum circular suspending classes on September 17, Monday, to ensure public order, safety and convenience, reduce traffic congestion and minimize the risks involved, in view of the anticipated heavy traffic that will be brought by the continued influx of devotees, pilgrims and tourists in the city with the celebration of the Peñafrancia Festival 2018.
