Proclamation No. 456 declaring Saturday, 05 May 2018, as a Special (Non-Working) Day in the Municipality of Kapangan, Province of Benguet marks the birth anniversary of Governor Bado Dangwa.
Bado Dangwa was born in Kapangan, Benguet on 05 May 1905 served as First Lieutenant and Major in the Philippine Army during the Second World War, and as governor of Benguet from 1953 to 1963.
Bado Dangwa focused his crusade against corruption, encouraged education through scholarships, and reinforced the identity of the indigenous people of Benguet.
