Regular Holiday Throughout The Country on July 31, 2020 in observance of Eid'l Adha (Proclamation No. 985, S. 2020)

Proclamation No. 985 declaring Friday, 31 July 2020, a regular holiday throughout the Country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.

Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid'l Adha shall be observed as a regular holiday.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 31 July 2020, Friday, be declared a national holiday, in observance of Eid'l Adha.

AN ACT DECLARING JULY 23 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BATANGAS, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY, TO BE KNOWN AS "BATANGAS CITY FOUNDATION DAY"

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. July 23 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Batangas, Province of Batangas, in commemoration of its founding anniversary, to be known as "Batangas City Foundation Day". Upon proclamation of the President, July 23 of every year shall be special nonworking holiday in the City of Batangas, Province of Batangas.

Sec 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
