AN ACT DECLARING FEBRUARY 14 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF VALENZUELA TO BE KNOWN AS "ARAW NG LUNGSOD NG VALENZUELA"

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. February 14 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Valenzuela to commemorate its conversion into a highly urbanized city and to be known as "Araw ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela".

SEC. 2. On this day, all city officials, national government agencies or instrumentalities, civic, religious and other nongovernment organizations, including private companies, shall recognize it as a day of celebration. The city government shall lead the appropriate activities in order to celebrate the city's progression into a highly urbanized city in the modern era.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

SECTION 1. February 3 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Biñan, Province of Laguna, in commemoration of the liberation of the town of Biñan, now the City of Biñan, from the Japanese Imperial Forces, to be known as "Biñan Liberation Day". Upon proclamation of the President, February 3 of every year shall be a special nonworking holiday in the City of Biñan, Province of Laguna.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9090 OR AN ACT DECLARING FEBRUARY FIRST OF EVERY YEAR AS "JOSE MARIA C. PANGANIBAN DAY" AND A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAMARINES NORTE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Section 2 of Republic Act No. 9090 is hereby amended:

"Sec. 2. In recognition of Jose Maria C. Panganiban's sacrifices and his fight for humanitarian reforms for his beloved country, and for placing him among the heroes and great men whose death or birth anniversaries are given appropriate recognition and honor by way of declaring their respective date of death or date of birth as a special working public holiday, it is hereby declared that February 1st of every year as 'Jose Maria C. Panganiban Day' and a special working public holiday in the Province of Camarines Norte. Upon proclamation of the President, February 1 of every year shall be a special nonworking holiday in the Province of Camarines Norte as 'Jose Maria C. Panganiban Day'."

Sec 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
