Saint James the Apostle, the patron saint of the locality of Santiago City.
The Feast of Saint James also marks the traditional observance of the gathering of the first inhabitants and first settler of Santiago City, the Ibanags, and the Gaddangs who host the Novena Na Naturales, the staging of the Comedia or Moro-moro and Gozos on the feast day of St. James.
The Federation of Naturales na Santiago City Organization, Inc. has lobbied for the declaration of July 25, 2016 and every year thereafter as
Aggaw na Naturales in the City of Santiago.
To preserve and promote the rich cultural Heritage of Santiagueños and in consideration of the said request, there is a need to measure declaring July 25 of every year as an official holiday in Santiago City.
